Not long after they participated in the XMortis Fashion Victims 3 fashion show in Cambridge, Massachusetts, my friends the fashion designers Vicious Dolls (which is Anita Bhatt) and Bettysioux (Jen Lyons) took part in another fashion show at the Blacksun festival, which is more or less an annual goth festival. The fashion show took place on Sunday, August 12, 2007, the day after I found out that ASK YOUR MOM HOW MUCH I ROCK, an art exhibit I'd just put up a week before, had run into serious trouble so I was distracted, disheartened and feeling very worn down at the Blacksun fashion show. For that reason, I didn't photograph the fashion show as extensively as I might have otherwise. I basically focused on photographing my two ludicrously gorgeous models who were in the show, Micaela and Alison Little (Alison would be minorly scandalized two days later when she became front page news - naked front page news - in Boston, part of the fallout and coverage of my art exhibit biting the dust). I still tried to get some good photos of some of the other Bettysioux and Vicious Dolls models and outfits as well but many are not represented in these images. So what follows is an incomplete glimpse of the 2007 Blacksun fashion show.
