Nihilistics
at ONE BIG CROWD, a one night tribute to A7
December 6, 2008; The Knitting Factory; NYC

Yup. That's blood dribbling down his chin.

Best shirt at the venue. "Welcome To Collinwood" and a picture of vampire Barnabas Collins, played by Jonathan Frid on the late 1960s/early 1970s soap opera Dark Shadows, which this photographer is obsessed with. The shirt is actually promoting the Beachland Ballroom music venue in Collinwood, Ohio, where I once saw the four surviving Dead Boys reform to play a memorial show for Stiv Bators.

The signer is the only person I've ever seen who can spew projectile persperation out of his armpit. Okay, so maybe he was actually just throwing beer around but it looks like he's shooting out streams of toxic sweat, doesn't it?

Covered in beer and enjoying every minute of it....

The Nihilistics were fun. The song that stands out in my memory was one about the singer's dog licking him clean. Nasty, stupid stuff but, again, fun.
